Introduction

Canine anaplasmosis is a contagious disease caused by a type of bacteria called phagocytic anaplasma. This organism occurs in white blood cells and is spread through some hemophagous ticks through natural means. It can also be spread through surgical procedures, dehorning, castration, and tattoo tools, and hypodermic Needles that are not sterilized between uses. Deer ticks also carry other parasites, including Lyme disease. When anaplasmosis is suspected, it is very important to check for other infections.

Canine Anaplasmosis ANA Antibody Test Kit is lateral flow immunochromatographic assay for the qualitative detection of antibodies to Anaplasma spp. in dog's serum, plasma and whole blood specimen.

Principle

Canine Anaplasmosis ANA Antibody Test Kit is used to detect anaplasma antibodies in canine whole blood, serum or plasma. After the slurry-free antibody is absorbed by the cellulose pad, it moves and combines with the gold colloidal complex coupled to the pad canine antigen to form an Ag-Ab complex. This complex forms an Ag-Ab-Ag direct sandwich binding with the protoplasmic antigen in the nitrocellulose membrane. The test results can appear on the control (C) and test (T) lines using the principle of immunochromatography.

Strage and stablity

The kit can be stored at room temperature (2-30°C). The test kit is stable through the expiration date (18 months) marked on the package label. DO NOT FREEZE. Do not store the test kit in direct sunlight.

Test Procedure

- Allow all materials, including specimen and test device, recover to 15-25℃ before running the assay.

- Take out the test card from the foil pouch and place it horizontally.

- Collect 20μL of the prepared specimen (serum, plasma or whole blood) into a vial of assay buffer and mix well. Then drop 3 drops (approx. 120μL) of the diluted sample into the sample hole "S" of the test card.

- Interpret the result in 5-10 minutes. Result after 10 minutes is considered as invalid.
