Canine Rabies Antigen Rapid Test

Rabies Test Canine Rabies Antigen Rapid Test is a lateral flow immunochromatographic assay for the qualitative detection of rabies virus antigen (Rabies Ag) in dog's saliva or cerebrospinal fluid.

Rabies is a vital disease to both animal and human beings. Dog or cat could be a carrier without any clinical symptom. Vaccination could be apparently decrease the ratio of carrier and infection of rabies virus. But even after vaccination, there is still about 15% of total cases which could not generate protective antibodies. It is suggested to detect the Rabies antibodies for dogs after 45days vaccination.

Rabies Test Canine Rabies Antigen Rapid test was based on sandwich lateral flow immunochromatography. The test device has a test window for observation analysis run and result reading. The test window has an invisible T( test) area and a C( control) area.

When the treated sample is coated into the sample hole on the equipment, the liquid will flow horizontally through the surface of the test strip and react with the pre-coated monoclonal antibody. if rabies antigen is present in the specimen, a visible T line appears.

C rows should always appear after the application example, which represents a valid result. By this method, the device can accurately indicate the presence of rabies virus antigen in the specimen.

Test Procedure

- Collect dog's fresh feces or vomit with the cotton Swab stick from dog's anus or from the ground.

- Insert the Swab into the provided assay buffer tube. Agitates it to get efficient sample extraction.

- Take out the test card from the foil pouch and place it horizontally.

- Suck the treated sample extraction from the assay buffer tube and place 3 drops into the sample hole "S" of the test device.

- Interpret the result in 5-10 minutes. Result after 10 minutes is considered as invalid.

Canine Rotavirus Antigen Test

- Positive (+): Whether the T line is clear or fuzzy, the "C" line and the region "T" line are present.

- Negative (-): Shows only the sharp C line. No T line.

- Invalid: no color lines in zone C. Whether the T line appears or not.
